This film is about philologist and literary critic Alexander Parnis, the legendary researcher of the life and work of Velimir Khlebnikov.

Being an expert on the Silver Age and the Russian avant-garde, Parnis has revived interest in the work of Khlebnikov and futurists, putting him back into the history of Russian literature after a long oblivion.

Our hero has searched for people, recorded their memories, and worked hard in archives and libraries. He's found, attributed, and introduced many texts published anonymously and under pseudonyms into scientific circulation. He's been leading an ascetic and nomadic life similar to Khlebnikov's.

The main thing helping Alexander Parnis is his tireless, furious, passionate, and charismatic nature.
